Rules

1. The Balkan ARDF Championship shall be run under the provisions of IARU Region 1 Rules for Championships in ARDF with the following exceptions:
2. The Championship shall be individual only.
3. The following categories shall be entitled to participate: M15, 19, 21, 40, 50, 60; W15, 19, 21, 35, 50.
4. The categories M15 and W15 shall search for 3 (three) hidden transmitters.
5. Every country (amateur radio society) shall be entitled to participate with unlimited number competitors in any category.
6. Two competitions shall take place – a competition on 144 MHz and a competition on 3.5 MHz. The classification of the competitors in each category shall be done according to their overall results in both competitions.
7. The overall result of every competitor shall be the sum of hidden transmitters found in both competitions and the sum of the times used in both competitions. 8. If particular competitor failed to be classified in one of the competitions (no hidden transmitter found or time over the limit) this competitor shall be scored for this event with 0 (zero) hidden transmitters found and time equal to the time limit. Such competitor shall be classified overall. If particular competitor failed to be classified in both competitions this competitor shall not be classified overall. 9. Competitors placed on first, second and third place overall in each category shall be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals respectively. Competitors placed from first to sixth place in each category shall be awarded certificates.10. The rest of the participant in the Championship, including Team leaders, trainers, referees, etc. shall be awarded certificate for participation.
